A Deeper Look At Our Time Together

One of the biggest joys is the friendships made with others during this experience.  And most cherished, is the relationship you build with yourself.

In this Yoga Teacher Training, you’ll Initiate your journey into sharing the gift of yoga, whether it’s in front of a classroom, with friends and family, or more deeply with yourself. Through an exploration of yogic philosophy, asana, pranayama, meditation, teaching skills, chakras, and other essential skills, you will find your authentic voice and self in the seat of the teacher.

In my experience, Yoga Teacher Training changed the entire trajectory of my life! What I thought would be learning the anatomy of Triangle Pose, morphed into a beautiful and sacred journey getting to know myself from a renewed and radically honest perspective.  I was able to unpack the layers of my beliefs and strengthen my relationship to self, to others, and to our vast and brilliant Universe!

During our time together, we will step onto the mat as a gateway to self-reflection and growth. Many trainees experience life-changing lessons and experiences that allow them to show up more fully as a student of life and a teacher of yoga. Our intention is to prepare you for sharing yoga in the way that serves your unique and wild heart. You’ll have many opportunities to apply what you’re learning in a practical way, through teaching and also through everyday life.

By the end, you will be able to teach a full class safely and confidently and show up for yourself and others with more grace and compassion.

BIPOC & LGBTQA Scholarship:

Many of those who practice yoga don’t see their identities represented by those who teach it. The intention of this scholarship is to offer opportunities to:

  • underrepresented individuals to become certified yoga teachers, where they can also to apply their knowledge to create inclusive and equitable yoga spaces in their local communities.

  • provide an accelerated path to YTT for historically underrepresented minorities in the yoga space in order to create a more equitable and inclusive yoga culture.

  • provide support to individuals whose financial and life circumstances mean they might otherwise never have the opportunity to complete yoga teacher training.

Funds are currently available for yoga students who wish to train as teachers from historically marginalized populations including BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color), Latinx, LGBTQIA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, or Ally), and Veterans.

Scholarships will be granted for up to $800 off of tuition costs for our in-person 2024Spring 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training.

If you receive a yoga scholarship offer, you will have 7 days to place the minimum deposit and claim the scholarship before it would become available to other students. Please answer all questions in detail.

MEET Your TEACHERS

Jenna Manders- Lead Trainer

Jenna's passion for yoga began in college in upstate New York. She began as a student and then decided to embark on the journey to become a teacher in 2016 with YogaWorks in New York City where she completed both her 200 and 300 hour trainings. She has now been teaching for 8 years across the country and has led multiple teacher trainings as an 500-ERYT alongside Wild Heart Yoga's incredible team of teachers. Her passion is anatomy and she remains a student enrolling in trainings throughout Austin to continue to expand her offerings and understanding of this ancient practice. Through her continuing studies and practice, she strives to help others feel empowered and tune in to their inherent goodness.

Allison Cline- Co-Lead Trainer

Allison is an 500 HR E-RYT and PRYT with over a 1,000 hours of training including advanced asana, pre/postnatal, pilates, Restorative Yoga with the great Judith Lasater and trauma informed training working with both veterans and the pre/postnatal populations. Allison considers herself a lifelong learner. She has been practicing yoga since 2008; her true passion for yoga was sparked during her first pregnancy in 2011. Allison considers herself a lifelong learner. She's been an educator for years. First as a public school art teacher, a mother and now a yoga teacher and a Birthing from Within Mentor and Doula. She enjoys leading sweaty soulful vinyasa flows as well as guiding momma's to be and postpartum moms through mindful meditations and sweet pre/postnatal flows.

MaryBeth Brady- specialty Trainer

Marybeth Brady is the Founder of Wild Heart Yoga where she serves her local and global community through public classes, workshops, sound healing experiences, Yoga Teacher Trainings, International Yoga & Wellness Retreats, and events.  A 500 E-RYT Certified Yoga Teacher, with over 12 years and 3,000 hours of teaching experience, she is delighted to guide students along the 8-limb path of yoga. Marybeth has been a devoted student of yoga for 18 years, and believes a teacher is always a student first.  A lunar lover, intuitive, astrology muse, crystal enthusiast, Reiki practitioner, sound healer, mama bear, and inspired by the vast and brilliant Universe, she believes in  the divine connection to Earth and the Cosmos and the ancestral wisdom we all possess that connects us to both planes.  She teaches heartfelt and thought-provoking classes and experiences curated  to expand our consciousness and reawaken our wild hearts.    Her teachings are full of introspection, joy, and radical honesty.

Kim Unik- Specialty Trainer

For Kim, yoga was love at first Savasana over a decade ago. It was both the most awkward and incredibly peaceful experience within the span of an hour she had ever had. After dealing with chronic pain and mental health issues, she knew that it was the power of breath, movement, presence, and self-inquiry that would lead to her healing and liberation. Always a student, Kim has also completed courses in Core-Strength Vinyasa, Thai Yoga, Yin Yoga, and various meditation practices. Kim teaches from a place of intuition and authenticity and offers the opportunity to show up and meet yourself exactly where you are.

raina gradford- specialty Trainer

Raina sees yoga as an invitation to explore all of the aspects of our humanity, through awareness of breath and presence. She believes that our body is our vehicle on earth, and that once we realize our full embodiment, we will cultivate connection and gain full access to our human experience. Through becoming a yoga teacher, Raina sought to create healing spaces for people to reconnect with their authentic experience and find liberation in their lives. She also noticed a lack of diversity in the yoga teacher community and wished to become certified so that she could reach people from all backgrounds and walks of life.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I have to miss a day or weekend?

Yoga Alliance allows trainees to miss up to 1 weekend or 20 hours. Missed time must be pre-approved by your lead trainer and requests submitted in writing. Approved absences may consist of travel planned prior to the start of YTT, work commitments, illness, family emergencies. Missed time is made up by taking a private with a lead teacher. There is a fee associated with making up the missed time. Half Day (1-4 hours) is $100 for one hour private. Full Day (5-8 hours) is $200 for a two hour private.

What if I don’t want to be a yoga teacher? Can I still do teacher training?

YES!  Whether you have a desire to teach or just want to deepen your yoga practice, YTT is transformational for all!  In fact, there's about a 50/50 split of folks who want to pursue teaching and those who don't.   Full participation during in-person weekends is required.

How long should I practice yoga before doing a teacher training?

There is not a time requirement, though it's recommended that you have a regular yoga practice so you have a baseline foundation to approach from. We encourage trainees to develop a habit of practicing 3 times a week for 3 months prior to training. “Hard” poses or mastery of yoga poses is not required. This is a space to learn, get curious, and grow!

Are payment plans available?

Yes! You can extend payments for up to 12 months with Shop Pay. Scroll up to “Payment Plans” and click the button.

What kind of assignments will we have outside of YTT weekends?
Homework is a part of YTT and included in the total 200 hours of training. Assignments are a mix of readings, taking classes , writing journal entries, creating sequences.

How have other trainees managed their time to complete YTT?

We often feel that we don't have enough, it's not the right time, etc.  My advice is that if teacher training is pulling at your heart strings, DO IT!  Rarely in life will there ever be a clean slate of time for 10 weeks, 20 weeks, 1 year... Life is always happening.  We make time for what’s important to us. So we can look at time from two lenses- it's either never the right time or always the right time.  This training was designed to give you extra time and space to absorb and to manage the other happenings in your life. With just about every other weekend off, it’s easier than ever to schedule your time on and off the mat!
