She found her yoga practice 11 years ago and is filled with immense gratitude to share her passion of this transformative gift through Wild Heart Yoga’s 1st YTT.  Marybeth teaches vigorous, heart-felt classes to serve as the foundation where her students find joy, empowerment and radical self-love. jenna.jpg

Jenna Manders

This native New Yorker came to yoga over a decade ago, finding a practice that was the perfect complement to her training as a triathlete. After suffering a knee injury, yoga took a front seat to her life, as she dove into the history of the practice and the more meditative and ancient magical aspects. Students come to Jenna's classes to find moments of peace while enjoying creative sequencing, good music and a healthy dose of humor. Jenna offers her students a path to experiential learning with a well-rounded practice and meditation.

Naomi Fernando

Since coming to her practice ten years ago, Naomi has found yoga to be her go-to modality for injury recovery, becoming more mindful, and maintaining her sanity as she rides through the tides of life. Her roots are in power yoga, alignment based teaching, and teaching to beginners. Her favorite thing about teaching is making the practice accessible to those who think it’s not for them and making it challenging for those who doubt its transformative power.

raina.jpg

raina gradford

Raina sees yoga as an invitation to explore all of the aspects of our humanity, through awareness of breath and presence. She believes that our body is our vehicle on earth, and that once we realize our full embodiment, we will cultivate connection and gain full access to our human experience. Through becoming a yoga teacher, Raina sought to create healing spaces for people to reconnect with their authentic experience and find liberation in their lives. She also noticed a lack of diversity in the yoga teacher community and wished to become certified so that she could reach people from all backgrounds and walks of life.

Andrea Barton.jpeg

andrea Barton

Andrea found asana in 2002, but began to find the deeper meaning of yoga during her first pregnancy. Prenatal yoga offered a nurturing path of self discovery, strengthening and softening, supporting her choice to birth her three children at home. Andrea now strives to support women on their unique journey into motherhood and beyond, fostering trust in the body’s inherent wisdom.

Courtney%2BNied.jpg

courtney neid

Courtney first found yoga in 2005. She fell in love with yoga and meditation, and the magic of the two offered Courtney healing from various stresses, traumas, and injuries from her past. Through cultivating connection of her body, mind, breath, and spirit, Courtney realized yoga made her feel the most present, fulfilled, and accepting of herself than she had ever experienced. Courtney realized she wanted to offer this connection for others to explore, so not long after, she received her 200 hour RYT. She is now a 500 hour RYT.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if i have to miss a day or weekend?

Not a problem!  We are regulated by Yoga Alliance.  This is a good thing, as they give credit to our industry as a profession and put requirements in placed to ensure that standards are high!  Yoga Alliance requires a certain number of training hours be completed in person.  There is space for trainees to miss up to 1 weekend, which must be made up. There is a fee associated with making up the missed time.

What if I don’t want to be a yoga teacher? Can I still do teacher training?

YES!  Whether you have a desire to teach or just want to deepen your yoga practice, YTT is transformational for all!  In fact, there's about a 50/50 split of folks who want to pursue teaching and those who don't.

How long should I practice yoga before doing a teacher training?

There is not a time requirement, though it's recommended that you have a regular yoga practice so you have a baseline foundation to approach from. “Hard” poses or mastery of yoga poses is not required! This is a space to learn, get curious, and grow!

How have other trainees made the time to complete YTT?

We often feel that we don't have enough, it's not the right time, etc.  My advice is that is teacher training is pulling at your heart strings, DO IT!  Rarely in life will there ever be a clean slate of time for 10 weeks, 20 weeks, 1 year... Life is always happening.  So we can look at time from 2 lenses; it's either never the right time or always the right time.  This training was designed to give you extra time and space to absorb and to manage the other happenings in your life. With just about every other weekend off, it’s easier than ever to schedule your time on and off the mat!
